Don’t be confused by the bike in the photo. Richard Flanagan is a Track Star in disguise. He is a Guinness World Record holder of the fastest bicycle wheelie over 100m from a stand-still start (not rolling). He also holds the longest wheelie on a bicycle in 1 hour ( miles). To assist Richard Flanagan in his 100m world record wheelie time, he trained using our 100m/200m training program and did the sprint training on his bike (wheelie style). Richard was able to produce faster weekly results until he was able to consistently break the previous record. Then, on October 1st of 2017, Richard officially clocked a record breaking seconds to earn himself a Guinness World Record in the 100m.

Several months later, the Oregon's women's program entered the NCAA Outdoor National Championship meet as favorites to win the title. Despite losing a key runner to injury, a disqualification in the 4 × 100 m, and adversity during the meet, the Oregon women's team was able to edge out the Georgia Bulldogs 's strong field events team in the final 4 × 400 m event. Since the women's team won the cross country championship and the indoor championship in the same academic year, the outdoor title gave the women's team a triple crown, the first time any NCAA women's track and field team has accomplished this feat.
